Mr. Slam's special in this game is the most easiest one to use than all his other incarnations. It works like Hammerhead's special from Twisted Metal 1 and 2 because it activates automatically, so one ammo of the special can never be wasted, unless a car used shield but they have to activate the shield before being grabbed. You can trap someone in a corner this way. In the PSP version of Twisted Metal Head On multiplayer, Mr. Slam's has a different special. He shoots three yellow missiles instead, kinda like Warthog's special. The developers probably thoughts players will complain that Mr. Slam has a cheap special when it comes to multiplayer deathmatch.
