Known for Ingress, Pokémon GO and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Niantic is a game company that focuses on developing the augmented reality mobile games.

Recently, Niantic unveiled Codename: Urban Legends, a multiplayer AR game. It utilizes 5G’s ultra-low latency and high bandwidth capabilities, aiming to present a deeply immersive and highly social AR experience to players.

In addition, a week before, Niantic partnered up with Nintendo to develop a new title based on the Pikmin franchise.

In case you didn't know, Pikmin (cute plantlike beings) is a real-time strategy and puzzle video game series by Nintendo.

Earlier today, IGN shared their Pikmin AR game experience. Basically, in the game, you will need to walk around with your phone and find, pluck and grow the Pikmin.
