Well, this was a fairly productive stream. I even managed to finish up early, despite starting late. The funniest part about it is that I managed to stumble upon the last three Evil Pig Doors on accident, while puttering around and doing some random sidequests that seemed interesting. That being said, I did need to resort to the guide to find the final boss. I have no idea how you were supposed to figure out its location without help, given the fact that the bottom of the Pipe Area were treated like instadeath pits when they were on fire... and they still looked pretty bottomless even after things cooled down.

I guess the Earth Evil Pig was the most difficult boss in the entire game, because I managed to beat the rest of them without much trouble. In fact, if anything, the game's final boss ended up being the easiest of the bunch... by like a significant margin. In fact, the bag was practically right next to me, so even boosting the number of tosses from 3 to 5 didn't really matter in the long run.

Like I said earlier, getting access to more abilities is what ended up raising the game's score for me. The controls still feel off compared to the first game, but considering that this was one of the earliest attempts at replicating 2D gameplay with full 3D models -- and developed by such a small company -- I guess I can forgive it. It is a shame that Whoopee Camp had to shut its doors soon after this release. I also have my doubts that Tomba! 2 will get a re-release akin to the one that Limited Run Games recently announced for the original, but I guess if they figured out the rights holder for that one, nothing's impossible if Tomba's status as a hidden gem cult classic manages to translate to acceptable sales. I'd just recommend tightening a few things up if they do decide to bring this one back. At the very least, they should totally bring back the full Japanese opening video, instead of the trimmed down version we got.
