Two Rhyolite Demo Single-Player Attempts
00:00:00 - First attempt
00:42:00 - First attempt goes wrong
00:42:25 - Second attempt
01:32:00 - Everything goes wrong
The first run died to me not knowing the hitboxes of burning steps and being caught in one while I tried to repair the leaky reactor.
The second one died to what I think is one of the fundamental things about single-player mode that I think makes it impossible. Too much starts happening too fast. It is possible that I could have stemmed this overwhelming flood with the crystal ball, but I don't know if crystal ball adds ten seconds between when each attack is added to the queue, or if the queue will still fill with nonsense overwhelmingly quick, and my demise will just delay by ten seconds. If the crystal ball could have protected me, I didn't have a way to get it. There's no way to get more money per round. Right now, getting all the signatures for a specific round gives you the "full clear bonus", which is EXP. Experience is *completely worthless* once you hit level 3. There is nothing else to do with it. That bonus should be money instead. But I don't think this would change the fundamental thing about single-player that makes it too hard at the moment.
