Hey guys, MonsterMatt here! We're playing Golden Sun, one of my very favourite games on Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. It has incredible music, a Final Fantasy-like story and battle system, characters with personalities... and the Djinni. Adorable little elemental spirits that help you kick the absolute *snot* out of anything that you come across by giving you enhanced combat abilities - and letting you summon up more powerful beings to unleash even more powerful attacks when working in concert! What's not to love!? :D
So join me as we follow Isaac and his friends on a journey from their sleepy little town out into the unknown, chasing a group of villains bent on unleashing an ancient, forbidden power. I'm hoping you'll all love this game as much as I do!

"What is Golden Sun?"
Golden Sun is an RPG that was released on the Game Boy Advance handheld system in 2001 (2002 for the EU.) It follows the quest of four young adventurers as they set out to save their world from a band of rogues bent on destroying it by unleashing the long-sealed powers of Alchemy. On their journey they ally themselves with the very elements, calling upon Djinni - spirits of Venus (Earth), Mars (Fire), Jupiter (Wind) and Mercury (Water) to enhance their Psynergy, a form of magic that stems from Alchemy itself.
Golden Sun was well-received by fans, and spawned a sequel - Golden Sun: The Lost Age. However, it was eight years until another game in the series, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, would be released, and the series is still awaiting a fourth installment to complete the story began in Dark Dawn.
