10My third patrol continues to be disappointingly quiet, but I get the opportunity to obtain some important intelligence information before heading home.
The last time I played a submarine simulation was probably back in the days of 688(i) Hunter/Killer, but I’ve had UBOAT sitting unplayed in my library for about 4 years. Now seems like a good time to take it out for a spin. Lets see if I can learn how to play the game passably well, or if I crash and burn.
UBOAT is a WWII era submarine simulator with a difference. It has role-play aspects and crew management mechanics while its primary theme is the lives of German submariners. In UBOAT you control the crew in order to control the boat. You look after their physical and mental health, because if the sailors are hungry, tired and their spirit is low their nerve will crack when the pressure is on.
