Kiel canal is a big step up from Slovakia and has some really heavy fish available, but when you first get there you might want to use a smaller lure (like the Soukouss crankbait) just to target the smaller fish and get some cash in to upgrade your gear ready for the big fish. You can absolutely target bigger fish with lighter gear, but the fights will take longer. :D
