Hello and welcome to Lord Fenton Gaming plays Ultima III Exodus. I am your host Lord Fenton In this first part of Ultima 3 Exodus walkthrough let's play video, I will show you all how to create your characters, a party and start out in Ultima III. Ultima 3 was released in August of 1983. This is the original MS-DOS/IBM PC version. In this video I will show how to start out in the world. I will show you all how level up in Ultima 3 and even use the Yew trick to get some gold & Exp points. Let's go start building our party so we can all face Exodus together. Note: I am playing the original MS-DOS version of the game and no patches with it except by the developers during the time frame of it's release. The music at the start and end are from the Amiga version of Ultima II Exodus. Enjoy the video.

Note: This is my unicorn game and I will beat it. Unicorn reference from a certain movie, guess what it is.

Character Creation - 1:51

Note: I've picked the thief for disarm traps and spotting them in dungeons. The Paladin I've picked over the fighter is because later on Paladins can use some cleric spells. This will help against poison when I am able to learn it with higher wisdom. Cleric simple, cast all cleric spells later. Wizard I did pick to cast all Wizard spells later. To me this is the perfect party and I had no real issues with this setup so far.

Looking for monsters to hunt down - 10:03

Note: Orcs, Trolls and Goblins use the Wizard spell by typing C than A (A being the spell). Undead which are skeletons, ghouls and zombies use the Cleric spells by typing C than A. Both A spells from the Wizards and Clerics can fail. They will fail more often when your at level 5 or higher. Aim for the orc types and undead times to grind if you can find them. If you can find monsters great otherwise use my other method. To get to Yew you need to go West of the Royal city of Britain. You will see mountains, enter the west side and see a town surrounded by forest. It is Yew you want to go in.

Cleric Farming in Yew - 14:41

Note: Simple, just slaughter the clerics. They spawn in one and worth 6xp with 10gp to 60gp+ gold. They will drop weapons and armor like the monsters outside of Yew. It ranges from Cloth to Chain for armor and Dagger to 2her swords for weapons.
