The Adventures of the Inept Reviewer in the Stygian Abyss! Ultima Underworld is a classic RPG, released on the PC (MS-DOS) in 1992. Featuring an incredible 3D world with the ability to look up and down and jump and swim, this was a game ahead of its time.

This game once more features the player as The Avatar, a virtuous dude hailing from Earth who is forever answering the summons for a hero in the distant land of Britannia, where a guy with a startling resemblance to programmer Richard Garriott rules as Lord British. This game takes place after the events of Ultima 6 and sees the player banished to the Stygian Abyss - a deep underground world and supposed utopia that has gone completely wrong and is now occupied by angry demons and other critters, most of whom want to eat you or worse! A little bit like the setting of Bioshock without the plane crash.
