Under A Rock is an open-world cooperative survival crafting game set in a primitive and dangerous world with oversized wildlife, Neanderthals, and curses. Players can build bases with no limit on size, choose from a variety of assets and themes, and save blueprints to rebuild destroyed structures. Caves are procedurally generated and seamlessly integrated with no loading screens. The game also features a pet system with two types of pets, tames and companions, and a breeding system for interesting combinations.
Rest and comfort systems affect bonuses received, and constructions such as decorative items increase comfort level. Under A Rock has two types of combat, close quarters and ranged, with three attack types and different damage types with status effects. There is also a Stability bar for taking attacks, and smaller enemies can take down larger enemies with the “Harass” system. Survival mechanics include straightforward elements such as hunting, gathering resources, and crafting.
Under A Rock supports up to 10 players in co-op, with PvP optional based on the server host. The game offers a lot of freedom and choice, allowing players to build their bases on the ground, in trees, inside caves, or underwater. The game also has a view distance that is infinite, so no more invisible base parts when you are only a short distance away.
