Unity3D 2D layering Test

Trying to recreate the layering / zorder that games like Nuclear Throne use. I simply render my floor then render my walls on top of that, but the wall prefab has box2dcollider about halfway down. This way it blocks movement one way, and allows halfway movement the other way. There are probably better ways to do this.
