Imagine watching live CCTV footage of an entire block or getting your hands on the exposed devices that leak sensitive information. This kind of scene looks like straight from a hacking or science-fiction movie, but the reality is much scarier where just a browser and a few OSINT tricks up your sleeves is what you exactly need.
Various search engines list the exposed devices over the internet, or sometimes a specific Google search can yield the information of interest.
Our talk covers such topics where we discuss and present the methodologies used to track maritime vessels via the exposed VSAT devices that are unguarded and can be accessible to anyone over the internet. In addition, we will also present the potential ways through which unprotected webcams are traversed to leak critical information.
These internet-connected devices contain a plethora of sensitive information. Hence a proper security mechanism is required to protect them from adversaries. Our talk provides the attendees with a pivotal understanding of the dangers of the openly available information that is more often neglected by any individual or by any organization as a whole.
