Here's the next video in my Unreal Championship 2001 series. This one is showing off CTF-Smote.

This is interesting; it seems that CTF-Smote was supposed to be in Unreal Championship/Unreal Tournament 2003 at one point. Despite the name, this level has very little to do with the version that appears in Unreal Tournament 2004. The only thing that's the same between these UC 2001 and final versions is that they share similar themes and have somewhat similar flag rooms. Otherwise, its completely different.

This is one of the most complete maps in the entire beta. The only problems appear to be that the lighting sucks in some places and that the lava isn't working properly. Otherwise its complete and looks good, but is a bit boring and only has one small alternate paths. I can easily see this level turning into a meat grinder because there's only one real way into the base.

INTERESTING FACT: This level has birds and spiders NPCs that you can kill. There's nothing like this in the final version.
