I feel Unreal is one of those games that helped to redefine the gaming industry, in this case with the graphics. I remember when Unreal was first released I bought it so excited to play it as soon as I got home. I installed it and the game was so graphic intensive it locked up my computer. So I looked at the specs and it required a min of 12M (megs not gigs was a thing in the 1990s) and I only had a 8M video card. We had to go buy a graphic accelerator care, the predecessor of the GPU in the video cards now, and finally I was able to play. I remember just getting lost in the of the levels looking everywhere at the “pretty graphics”. It was a really good game then and I fell in love with it all over again playing it for this playthrough. The graphics and story line made it a game I lost sleep over trying to play it as mush as I could until it was finished.
