Unreal (Retail) running on emulated Pentium MMX 166 and 3dfx Voodoo2 SLI (PCem)
I've been experimenting a bit with old PC hardware emulators like PCem and 86box so I've decided to try running one of my favorite games of all time, Unreal from 1998. I have installed the retail version which requires the CD to run.
The gameplay could be smoother under real hardware because the host's CPU is holding it back (old 4C-8T Intel i7 7700) which prevents me from using a faster CPU like the Pentium 200MMX or 233MMX. Audio also suffers from lags and skips because of that. Overall it would be somewhat playable experience for that time of release, but definitely not for today's standards
Emulated PC specs:
* Pentium MMX 166MHz
* 96MB RAM
* 4096MB Hard drive
* ATI Mach64 VT2 video card
* 3dfx Voodoo2 SLI 3D accelerators
* Sound Blaster 16
* Windows 98 First Edition Hebrew
