This song has been a staple of queer empowerment and self love for me ever since I first heard it.
It hit me hearing Caitlin Kinnunen first sing it, then it hit me again hearing Jo Ellen Pellman sing it in the film adaptation.
Both stunning interpretations of standing firmly in their truth and loving their selves, flaws and all.
This is a message I think we all can get behind, especially the people within our LGBTQ community.
