This is the first match of the night the weekend before my bro went to bootcamp.
For these first few matches, we did a Round Robin type of match. We'd rotate turns after every match so that we fight each other at least once in a rotation.
Project M (or Project Melee) is a fan-made mod for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to have similar gameplay mechanics to Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The mod is 100% free. All you need is a 2GB SD card (specifically), a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a Wii/Wii U, and an old Wiimote controller before they came with the Wii Motion Plus built into them. You will need to delete all custom stages in both the Wii hard drive and SD card, because for hackless versions, it requires that function. Once you get into the Gecko OS screen, take your Wiimote and go to one of the options that has the "hook type" and switch it to AX-something-or-other because it might not work with the default. After that, save, load up the game, and enjoy!
