30In the Update 81058, Flemish Militia went through these changes:
- Flemish Militia cost decreased from 60 food and 25 gold ▶ 50 food and 15 gold
- Flemish Militia production after researching Flemish Revolution moved from Town Center to Barracks
- Flemish Militia HP decreased from 75 ▶ 60
- Flemish Militia damage decreased from 12 ▶ 11
- Flemish Militia pierce armor decreased from 1 ▶ 0
- Flemish Revolution cost changed from 1200 food and 650 gold ▶ 200 food +10 food per villager converted and 150 gold +5 gold per villager converted
The Flemish Militia is the second unique unit of the Burgundians in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West. It is an infantry unit comparable to the Champion, but with a sizeable attack bonus against cavalry, like the Kamayuk, but without range.
Behind the scenes, the Flemish Militia are two statistically identical units. However, there exist minor differences. The unit trained at the Town Center is a regular military unit, whereas the unit which replaces the Villagers counts towards Spies, costs 50 food (for the purposes of score and some capture-age statistics), and is also available in a female variant.
