Update: GOOGLE FIRES EMPLOYEE WHO WROTE MEMO #GoogleManifesto
944Last week, a Google engineer wrote a 10 page memo outlining issues he had with Google’s diversity initiatives. Yesterday, Google fired him for it. James Damore was fired for “Perpetuating gender stereotypes.”
With that and Google’s position that diversity is important to their workforce in mind, I have a simple challenge for Google, hire enough women into your tech sector to bring the ratio of men and women to an even 50/50. Google should open up enough positions to make this possible and hire any women who apply. No more pussyfooting about it, just get it done. Put your money where your mouth is.
