Update - My Dazzle can now display 60Hz/NTSC video in colour!
Using a program called AMCap, I can make my Dazzle display NTSC video signal in colour, which is how 60Hz is displayed through! Normally when you set your Dazzle to NTSC, the display will be able to read 60Hz video, but will be in Black & White. However if you follow these steps below, your Dazzle can display 60Hz or NTSC signal in colour!
1) if you open Pinnacle with the Dazzle first, then open AMCap (so the Dazzle doesn't display in AMCap but in Pinnacle like usual) an error message will occur because the Dazzle cannot let 2 programs display its video feed.
2) Then, on Pinnacle change the video signal type of the Dazzle to NTSC and confirm. If the Dazzle was trying to read 60Hz video and was displaying a frozen image or a black screen, it should now be showing your video but in Black & White.
3) Now, on AMCap make sure the Capture Device is set to Dazzle so you get the previously mentioned error message.
4) After choosing Dazzle on AMCap, go to Capture Filter in the Options Tab and choose any of the SECAM filter settings. If you look at Pinnacle the Dazzle should now displaying the 60Hz video in colour!
5) You're not done yet! Keep AMCap open while using Pinnacle to record 60Hz video in colour with Dazzle, as once you hit record on Pinnacle, the colour on the Dazzle video feed will revert to Black & White. To fix this, reapply the AMCap SECAM Filter Setting.
6) Continue recording as usual. Every time you want to record another 60Hz Video in colour, you must reapply the AMCap SECAM Filter Setting each time after hitting record on Pinnacle when in NTSC mode.
7) As the first few seconds of the video will be recorded in Black & White until you reapply the AMCap SECAM Filter Setting, you will definitely have to edit that piece of the video out. Edit, render, upload & you have your 60Hz Dazzle video in colour!
