The last video that was Windows 8 Pro that was my desktop running with Windows 7 wasn't really much of a upgrade. It was basically a start-over fresh because I decided not to save anything on the desktop... But now, in this video... I decide to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro with leaving my files and etc on the hard drive in process of upgrading. Since this is my gaming laptop with nearly 300 GB worth of content because of programs, musics, and games altogether. So in this way of the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, I figured I could try to upgrade without wasting that much time reinstalling everything. In short about this video, you will see a upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro with my files in place. Soon, in a few days after Hurricane Sandy... I shall make a new video which will show if any games have any performance improvements.

NOTE: At the end of the video, I had encountered a problem that apparently product ID is only used for one PC per. So I had to call Microsoft Activation Center to activate my copy of Windows.

Specifications: Alienware M14x R1 - OS: Windows 7 Home Premium upgrading to Windows 8 Pro - Intel Core i7 2670QM - 2.2 GHz to 3.1 GHz but Turbo Boost is disabled, 6 GB Ram, 500 GB Storage, Nvidia GeForce GT 555M using Optimus technology. #Shorts #YouTubeShorts
