Upgrading To 9800X3D From Non-X3D CPU Can Provide MASSIVE Performance Boost | Tested In 9 Games
37Testing the 9800X3D in 9 games and comparing it to the 7700X, which is the CPU previously used to benchmark games on this channel.
Testing is done at 720p/1080p and max settings in order to stress the CPU as much as possible. Many settings are demanding on the CPU as well (including ray tracing.) Nevertheless, it appears that even at 1080p, the 4090 is bottlenecking the 9800X3D in a few of the games tested. As such, the 720p results are more indicative of what the 9800X3D is truly capable of. The 5090 should allow the 9800X3D to reach more of its potential.
