Here is my pc upgrade, from a 2600k to an 5820k. I did wonder about skylake but for me a six core processor won. An o/c of 3.8 /4 would mean the gap was much closer (on single core stuff). At this time I didnt upgrade the GPU, as I dont know whether to wait or not for pascal - what's your suggestion? I wanted this build to be quiet, and hence why the large cooler and little to no o/c. I did try a 4.2 with v1.3 and the chip got pretty hot (60c) forcing the fans on the H110i to spin up a lot, making quite a bit of noise (something I am trying to avoid). I know I could get the numbers better manually, but im wondering if its really worth o/c anyway (especially with my current GPU).
