Uri Geller, Kadabra, and How Alakazam Dodged a Bullet | RBY Bytes
This video covers a multitude of subjects at once, centrally the lawsuit Uri Geller mounted against Game Freak over Kadabra, and the antisemitism allegations he made in the process. I take these allegations, analyse them, and show areas that he missed which could potentially have killed Pokemon had he known about them and gone more heavy-handed.

This video is different to my usual Pokemon videos, but given I'd passively looked into this for over a year, I think it's worth sharing this unhealthy amount of information I now possess.

Uri Geller was contacted and responded to an email for comment, but only noted Kadabra appearing in this link (https://zukan.pokemon.co.jp/?word=%E3%83%A6%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B2%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BC&no_min=1&no_max=905). The information wasn’t useful, unfortunately.

Sources on the Kagome often draw comparisons to Israel and appear to be Zionist-leaning, and thus not politically neutral. I had difficulty finding anything that wasn’t. Therefore, the above Wikipedia pages, despite their dubious sourcing, as well as the Japanese source, may be more palatable.

This source discusses Zener cards and their history but gives off some omega crank vibes, so…read with scepticism, as the site says.

Interesting footage from the time period that shows an Alakazam nicknamed URIGELLER:

Given the time period, this was likely done in reaction to the lawsuit. Never got to include it in the video, though.
