Review and information of the US CD V-700 6B Geiger Counter, this model was made by Electro-Neutronics INC, it's serial number is 1100.

These devices were part of the American Civil Defence radiation detecting equipment series, the V-700 is a true Geiger counter, as it has a Geiger-Muller tube to take readings. Many of the CD V series were ionisation chambers etc rather than actual Geiger counters.
This unit has a 1X, 10X and 100X setting, the display is 0 to 0.5 MilliRoentgen per hour so using the X10 would make it, 5 MilliRoentgen etc, it's max reading is 50 MilliRoentgen.

Custom tubes were later made for this Geiger Counter with a card to insert with an updated scale, meaning the device could accurately read radiation into a much higher range.
