Once the driver ahead turned his head to see how far I was, I knew an overtaking opportunity was on the horizon. Had he looked a couple of seconds sooner, there may not have been an opportunity. But because he looked back just before the braking point, I knew he was likely to out-brake himself leaving me with an opportunity to do the switchback!
