I'm not sure I like OBS. It takes a lot of preparation to make work, whereas Fraps is pretty seat-of-the-pants in it's approach and just works.
OBS has a lot of potential and other uses that make it a great piece of software. I'm not sure, though, that it's what I need. It depends on how much image degradation is going to occur when using the footage in Premiere.

TL;DW?
1) Once you get the hang of it, it's fairly clear.
2) This bullet point deliberately left empty.
3) NEVER cfr=0 (or crf=0. one of those).
