We tested this using a different version of Velser's Deathmatch mod which he calls "Classic Deathmatch", it has some tweaks to the original mod, namely faster movement, infinite ammo, and rocket jumping. Despite that, the results should be the same in the Original Deathmatch Mod as Velser did tweak the Crucible or Hammer in either.

The two weapons work as expected, pretty much Crucible insta kills (though it says 1000 damage, suggesting a Slayer could survive with more health?) and the Hammer does great AoE Damage (which seems to be a flat 80 damage no matter the distance). Perhaps these weapons will be put into the Deathmatch Mod though you can always just give yourself the Hammer or Crucible using the "give weapon/player/(crucible or hammer)" command and remove it using "removeinventoryitem weapon/player/(crucible or hammer)".
