Valkyrie Elysium: How to defeat Aegon's Naglefar
Valkyrie Elysium follows the adventures of Mary, a Valkyrie who is tasked with carrying out tasks for Odin. As you progress through the game, you will encounter several bosses that will prevent you from moving forward.
One such boss is Naglfar Aegon, who will be your first boss. Defeating him can be difficult if you are a complete beginner. Luckily, I created this guide to help you.
How to defeat Naglefar Aegon in Valkyrie Elysium
At the beginning of a fight, Aegon always starts the fight by rushing forward. You must properly dodge this attack to avoid taking damage at the beginning of the fight.
If you are brave enough, you can also interrupt him by performing precious guards. That way you can land a few strikes just before the boss recovers. However, only do this if you are experienced enough, as it may be too risky if you fail.
During the fight, be sure to move sideways to position yourself so that you can attack him freely from behind. It is also ideal to use Grave Edge to increase the Crush counter.
Once the scale fills up, it will incapacitate the boss, giving you a chance to take some hits.
Instead, you want to wait until the boss's Crush counter drops before trying to make another move. Remember to retreat a short distance once the boss comes back.
If you stay close enough, he will unleash a shockwave that can do a decent amount of damage.
Pay attention to the boss's sword hand, as he will roll it when he is ready to perform a sword attack.You can either guard or dodge. Also, make sure you get in and out of his range. If you stay around long enough, the boss will perform a grappling attack that cannot be dodged or blocked.
Ending the Fight
The boss has two long health bars, but the whole fight is actually simple, but still quite difficult. You just need to keep attacking the boss from behind and use Grave Edge to incapacitate him. Don't forget to heal yourself if you take massive damage from one of his attacks.
