Vampire Savior 2 [Arcade] - the missing Characters & Extras (set 1)
This is a demonstration of the 'removed' and 'alternative' characters in the Arcade version of Vampire Savior 2. Read on below for more information...
As you probably know by now, Vampire Savior 2 is an update of the original Vampire Savior in which the main difference is that the three characters Gallon, Sasquatch and Rikou have been removed, and replaced with Phobos, Pyron and Donovan. This game was released only in Japan in 1997.
Despite the removal of Gallon, Rikou and Sasquatch (as well as Dark Gallon), their character data still remains in the data of the game, but unfortunately their in-fight sprites and sounds/voices are gone. There also seems to be some 'extra' or 'alternate' versions of some existing characters as well, which is signified by the fact that their portraits are a different colour and that they are set in separate character slots. They seem to play identical to the original versions though.
===== Additional Information =====
--- There is no winning screen music theme for the removed characters.
--- For the 'alternative' versions of the available characters, their winning screen music is incorrect.
--- If you have an inaccessible character highlighted on the character select screen, moving the cursor will lock and reset the game.
--- Dark Gallon has 'flawed' colour palettes in his portraits if you select him with any button other than LP or MP on the character select screen.
--- If you play as a 'removed' or 'alternate' character in 1P arcade mode they do have a fight path as normal, but in this path you can get to fight against a 'removed' character (for example Sasquatch).
--- If you complete the game as a 'removed' or 'alternate' character in 1P arcade mode, you'll just get Jedah's ending and the image of Bulleta and Donovan before the scrolling credits. If you play well enough, you'll get the Morrigan and Lilith yuri image instead before the scrolling credits.
--- Even though this is a Japanese region set game, the 'merman' character Rikou uses his international name, Aulbath (his surname).
