캡콤의 대전액션게임, 뱀파이어 시리즈에 나오는 마족 히로인(서큐버스). 첫 출전은 3번째 시리즈인 뱀파이어 세이비어다. "욕망의 미혹하는 아이"(欲望の迷い子)라는 이명이 있다.

성우는 길티기어 시리즈의 브리짓으로 유명한 코니시 히로코. 남코X캡콤과 크로스 엣지에서는 이마이 유카, 귀무자 Soul에서는 사와시로 미유키다.

모리건 앤슬랜드의 힘이 너무 강하여 폭주하게 된다면 마계가 멸망의 위기에 처할 것이라고 생각한 베리얼이 모리건의 힘을 분산시켰는데 그 중 하나가 자아를 가지게 되자 제다 도마가 육체를 주어 생겨난 존재. 공인된 건 아니나 모리건에서 분리되었다는 점을 들어서 팬덤에서는 모리건과 마찬가지로 앤슬랜드라는 성씨를 붙여서 릴리스 앤슬랜드라고도 하기도 한다.

초기 설정은 모리건과 대비를 주기 위해 남성 천사 캐릭터로 구상했지만 결국 최종 설정은 모리건처럼 여성 서큐버스 캐릭터로 변경되었다. 확실히 모리건과는 대비 된다. 머리는 짧지, 기술명도 모리건과 정반대인 의미가 많지. 그리고 슴가도. 하지만 남장여자까진 아니다 물론 숏컷이긴 해도 생김새는 보이시함과는 다소 거리가 있는 편으로, 뱀파이어 세이비어의 승리 이미지에서는 상당히 귀엽게 그려졌다.

모리건의 본체를 뺏으려 하나 본인 엔딩에서는 흡수에 실패하고 앤슬랜드 가문의 반지에 봉인당한다. 모리건의 엔딩에선 모리건에게 역으로 흡수된다. 그 중 반지에 흡수당하는 설정은 후에 마블 VS 캡콤에서 모리건의 하이퍼 콤보 실루엣 블레이드 발동 시 반지가 나오는 연출로 이어진다.


바니걸 코스프레를 하고 상대방을 무대 위에 세워 춤을 추게 해서 상대 플레이어가 리듬 게임을 하게 만들어 버리는 EX 필살기 '글루미 퍼펫쇼'를 보유하고 있다. 그리고 옷을 모두 형광박쥐로 바꾸어 떠오르는 전신탈의 훌륭한 기술 EX 필살기 스플랜더 러브가 유명하다. 다만, 실전에선 둘 다 활용도가 나쁜 굴욕기 수준의 기술인지라 승리를 중요하게 여긴다면 그냥 루미너스 일루전만 쓰는 게 훨씬 나은 선택이다.

성능은 약해보이지만 모리건과 비교도 안 될 정도로 좋은 중상급, 대쉬에서 이어지는 중기본기 견제가 강력하고 장풍기 소울 플래시가 사거리가 짧아 구려보이지만 중에서 바로 콤보로 이어지고 약으로 써서 가드를 굳힌 다음 미스틱 애로로 잡아주는 패턴도 가능하다. 대공기 샤이닝 블레이드도 모리건의 쉐도우 블레이드와 달리 날개를 횡으로 펴 판정이 더욱 좋다. 루미너스 일루전은 공중에서도 사용 가능에 백점프 중 기습으로 쓰거나 공중 체인과 섞어쓰면 좋다. 점프 강킥과 강펀치도 고성능. 미스틱 애로는 자체 데미지도 좋고 ES 사용시 벽에 튕기기 때문에 루미너스가 가볍게 들어간다.


여체화 필살기 미드나잇 브리즈로 변한 모습은 영락없는 파자마 소녀. 게다가 우습게도 배게를 든 채로 졸고 있다.

아즈마 마유미의 코믹스에선 진주인공이며 처음에는 인간계에 갔을 때 신기해서 머물지만 제다의 음모로 인해 마차원으로 다시 간다. 원래는 싸움을 못했지만 자신의 강대한 잠재력으로 점차 성장해서 제다를 쓰러트린다. 잠시 모리건과 합체도 했다.

엔딩은 오리지널 캐릭인 예술청년과 이어진다. 더군다나 모리건을 노릴려고 하던 사악한 성격은 완전히 순화되었다.

이 캐릭터의 영향력은 의외로 크다. 일본식 RPG나 액션 게임에서 '릴리스' 혹은 '리리스'라는 이름의 몬스터가 등장할 때는 대부분 서큐버스와 동족이거나 비슷한 디자인으로 나오는데(예: 악마성 시리즈) 이는 이 캐릭터 때문에 생겨난 경향이다.


Lilith

Lilith is a fictional character from Capcom's Darkstalkers series. She first appeared in Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3 in the west) in 1997 and later reappeared in Vampire Savior 2. During her development, she was intended to be the half-angel sister of Morrigan Aensland.

In Vampire Savior, Lilith serves as the boss battle for Morrigan as well as the special mid-boss fight for Victor von Gerdenheim. She was originally voiced by Hiroko Konishi with Miyuki Sawashiro currently voicing her in Onimusha Soul.


In the early stages of development, Lilith was quite different from her current form. According to rumors, she was supposed to be called Genevieve; and was Morrigan's older sister at first and had the blood of angels mixed in her. She had angel wings on her head but this was always folded to hide them due to her being a Darkstalker. Physically, she looked like Morrigan. She was always picked on by Morrigan as a child. But this was cut because there were enough angel types in games. Her next design was much closer to the current Lilith, the only difference being that she was either a male or a hermaphrodite.

Some of her angelic motif related to light survived in her moveset, becoming light counterparts to Morrigan's dark-themed move sets.


Trivia
•Originally during development, Lilith was intended to be a half-angel sister of Morrigan. •CAPCOM ditched the angel concept because they felt angels were overdone in video games at the time. Later when they came to something closer to Lilith's current design, they planned on making her an androgynous demon who looked similar to Morrigan with a slightly different outfit. They were meant to be male or have both sexes who would be and was referred to as an otokono.

•Two of Lilith's moves contrast Morrigan's moves in their title. While Morrigan has Shadow Blade and Darkness Illusion, both having to deal with the dark, Lilith has the same two moves only they're titled Shining Blade and Luminous Illusion, both dealing with the theme of light.
•Her main colors (purple, blue and red) are similar to Jedah Dohma. It is unknown if this is intentional or not as her own physical body was created from Jedah's power. •Her dark green inner wings and purple hair are likely a reference/contrast to Morrigan's purple inner wings and iconic green hair.

•Lilith's in-game personality may be a reference to Morrigan's original concept as the cute one of the game. •Being split from her when she was just born, she is often portrayed as the innocence or happiness Morrigan lost over the years and once fused with her again, in Morrigan's ending, she has a brighter look on life.
•Morrigan was originally meant to be a female vampire and some of Lilith's quotes imply she has some sort of obsession with blood which is something vampires are commonly associated with.

•Lilith was originally voiced by Hiroko Konishi, who also voiced Roll in the Japanese version of Mega Man 8 and had provided miscellaneous voices for the Vampire Hunter drama CDs. She was replaced by Yuka Imai, who also voices Leviathan and Copy X in the Mega Man Zero series.
