The Veilside rx7 is a highly modified version of the Mazda RX-7 coupe. The car was originally meant to be used in Japan only but because the demand for this car grew, Mazda decided to export them all around the world. The Veilside RX-7 has an aggressive body kit that includes an additional side skirt, diffuser, and a large rear spoiler. These changes make it one of the most popular MX-5 convertibles ever made.
Veilside is a street-tuned Mazda RX-7 with a wide wheelbase, front and rear fenders that resemble those of a Porsche 911 Turbo, and flared wheel arches.
The Veilside series was originally produced by the company A'PEXi, which is owned by Kenji Taira. The Veilside name originated in 1986 as one of many car projects built underneath the A'PEXi brand. The project itself resulted from the modification of a Mazda RX-7 chassis to swap its original model for that of an NSX, creating what would be considered one of the earliest JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) tuner cars.
The original Veilside was constructed on an NA (1989–1993) RX-7 chassis with an engine from an NSX: it produced 290 hp @ 8600 rpm and 210 lb·ft @ 7000 rpm which was more than what you could get from standard RX-7s. These first models were built between
