Here is the first 'daily' video for big year anniversaries in the Video Game Industry! 1st of January seems like a surprising day for release, but is more common in Japan - and actually has a lot of SNES releases. In many western nations, its a non working day.
I have collated a number of traditional 'anniversary years' traditionally associated with marriage and converted it to a suitable format for games.
Rights to images and sound of all the video games remain with their respective holders. This video contains where possible - images of the original game release - when not possible, some images may represent other releases.
If I get re-monetised, I'll do these videos with game footage rather than images.

Note: This data is extracted from my own database of video game releases, sources include far too many to list here but thankful for everyone who can provide information. Feel free to comment corrections but please source it. I go to quite some lengths to try and find as accurate data I can - including old magazines, specialist sites and more.
Daily videos include any games released on a console released in the UK between the 1st and 5th generations regardless of game release regions. This list will include more with time - its a big database! Give me time to increase it!
