Video of Computer Hoarder Nightmares
1. The 6600 XT instead of 5600 XT. A few people have 6600 XTs instead of 5600 XTs. This guy also happens to have a i.MX.6 Quad running TOR, and as a result, all his traffic is going through TOR, which has speed limitations. Never seen someone that can permanently use TOR. Then a rare Freescale i.MX6 and a weak HD 5450 running that ReactOS which often falls apart.
2. Racist Open Source Freak. He uses a old Kepler GTX 760 Ti because nouveau driver allows re-clock for maximum performance. It is nice to see something so novel able to run intense applications. His main computer uses a Allwinner A64 with Mali-400, which must be difficult to use because of how slow it is. Unfortunately, binary blobs still exist and he has to use them. He doesn't have a foundary, but indeed savaged ancient PCs for chips and created a homemade computer on a circuit board. College student indeed. It's performance is very low. The PS1's GPU was stolen and used via special Linux kernels. Whose driver did he use?
3. Failed Machine Learning Cluster. A collection of mobile-type mainboards, which funnily involved the mobile version of the RX 5600 GPUs. While having four other older GTX and RX paired with common Mali mainboards seems impressive. All those computers combined are no match for a single 6900 XT in compute. It is just cheaper, more power intensive, and unwieldy.
4. AI From Ebay. Another multi-computer user using cheap things from Ebay with a BeagleBone Black and the gaming PC. He is surprisingly effective. The support PCs are only shitty N2840, HD 6310, and N270 (GMA 950) types. Having no monitor, he uses that Chromebook as a main monitor, that tiny 14" 1366x768 screen. Maybe the guy with all the mobile mainboards also have his own technique to make it more effective compared to singles.
5. Computer Hoarder's Nightmare. Hey, guess whose this is, MINE. I know there are more efficient ways than clutter my space with NINE computers. But it is too late. I do know my lesson however. I have the biggest mess of cables held together by zip ties. I know that I don't speak very well.
Moderately fast high-end RX 5600 XT, cheap RX 460, HD 5450 DDR2, GTX 650 and GT 620 with nouveau driver for experiments. ARM computers, which are slower than the x86 ones mostly for now.
6. Person committed to use FPGAs instead of PCs. This guy has no PC. Instead he has a unwieldy, difficult to use stack of old and new FPGAs from somewhere... It is difficult to understand the techniques used to make it work. He has a YouTube channel, but I do not know about it or whether is he famous or not. I don't know how fast tasks can be processed, since I only use GPUs for compute.
Most of the people here are pretty boring, but we somehow all have 5600X and 5600 XT PCs because we agreed to buy a batch.
I will label most of the computers by GPU since it is indeed the workhorse of the PC, moreso than the CPU which runs the applications.
I am a Touhou player, and there is the C64 computer from the old times. It's compression capabilities isn't exactly bad.
