The Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Peter Wall has paid a visit to troops in Afghanistan.

He spoke of real progress being made across Helmand and took time out to speak to personnel affected by the recent Army 2020 announcements.

During his visit, General Sir Peter Wall said he is keen to keep Afghanistan his top priority -- saying they are still on track to withdraw combat troops in 2014.
