Virtua Fighter 4 PS2 - Akira Yuki enters Kumite! ;o;
Starting Kumite as Akira Yuki in Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2 in the emulator PCSX2!

3:11 - Kumite
35:12 - More Kumite (less Analog Toggle ; D)
42:09 - some Command Training
Oops, Sega AM2 DID make Fighting Vipers--when I said it was made by Sega AM3, I was getting it confused with Last Bronx, augh.
Man I don't understand the basics of Akira--or at least, beyond mashing P and K ; D--and turns out I don't even understand the basics of the analog toggle button! But like after recording I tried Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and in THAT game, the analog toggle defaults to ON--but in VF4 it seems to default to OFF. So I guess it's just how the game set it to start, blah!
Never used analog control before so didn't notice, but now that I'm trying to switch from stick to pad I wanna see the emblems on my back in dress up doll mode, darn it! ; D
Really bad at that df,df P move uppercut thingy. = P And the inputs in Training seem to show that on the d-pad I'm tending to trip Down inputs when trying to do his back-forward moves, which prevents them from working; I was really flailing badly at those when in a pinch, and often ended up just emitting flimsy little jabs instead.
I suppose I'll have to try getting further in his Command Training at some point; I'll have to map Guard to some button for that, 'cause I got stuck at a K plus G input that required letting up on G after "1 frame," and couldn't do that since I only have G mapped in combination with other buttons. : P
Pretty sure I won't be able to get all the way through his Command Training anyway; I have some vague recollection that his big move that in real time appears to kind of dash right through the opponent and then shoulderblade them from behind, for instance, requires some kind of triangular input I could never do. ; D But in the past year or so I've obstinately gotten into playing my clumsy Akira anyway. ; )
His big overhead chop is back, down-forward Punch. Not sure I was at all effective with that even when I haphazardly got the input right, but it probably has SOME kind of use.
