Known for a being a beautiful quaint park in the middle of Paris, Jardin d'Acclimatation is one of the prettier parks in Paris. The park opened in 1860 as a zoological park, and its past has some dark chapters, many of the animals were gone after 1870 due to a desperate time during war, when food supplies were cut off, and some extreme measures had to be taken.
