Visual Scripting in Game Development ... And Why Godot Are Wrong
Godot just announced they were removing VisualScript from Godot 4. I think this decision is the correct one, but I do also believe the conclusions for why it failed that they have drawn are the wrong ones.
This video looks at the 3 most popular forms of visual scripting in various game engines, discusses the merits of each, then gets into why I think Godot are drawing the wrong conclusions on why their visual scripting implementation failed.
