Vladimir Kramnik thinks this game of Boris Gelfand is one of the best positional efforts out there
Anatoly Karpov was known as the boa constrictor for his positional chess and the way in which he would squeeze the life out of his opponents. But in this game that was played by Boris Gelfand in 1996, it was the Israeli GM who gave that same treatment to the great former World Champion. It's an absolutely brilliant positional effort and Vladimir Kramnik thinks this is not just one of the best positional feats in Gelfand's career, but also one of the best positional games out there.
This game was shown by Boris Gelfand on day 2 of the training camp at the WR Chess for the Juniors.
