In this video I review VLC for the iPhone and iPod touch. VLC is a media player that allows you to playback a much wider variety of video files than what you could previously using the built-in video player in iOS. I test what formats it supports including mp4, mov, avi, mkv, flv and ogv as well as at what resolutions that the files are usable.

Overall, while VLC for the iPhone and iPod touch isn't perfect there's no reason not to download it as it does support quite a few additional formats at 480p on the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G.
