VLOG - Moving across the country - Gaming Stuff - Channel Updates - Jan 7th 2018 VLOG
52How's it going everyone? My name is Michael, also known as Drifty from Driftwood Gaming. I hope your morning, afternoon, and/or evening is going well, and thanks for joining me today.
So first of all, we should probably talk about why this is a VLOG and not a First Impressions video. Well, The reason why I decided to do a VLOG is because starting in a few days I'll be travelling across the country for a couple weeks. Not only that but I'll be moving from California to live in New York for 2018. So I won't have access to my beast of a machine that I use to handle the business for about a week or so. I don't even own a laptop, so I won't be able to upload on the road until the move process is complete, however that doesn't mean I won't be recording videos. I'm most certainly going to keep making videos and I do plan on taking several recordings as I travel across the country, so you can expect a few VLOG/travel type video uploads of me moving across the country when I get setup in New York.
Let's talk about some gaming related content for a few moments. I still plan on holding a Game Making competition sometime this year, but it may be a few months before it happens because of the move and lifestyle changes that I previously mentioned. The 2017 RPG Maker MV Game Maker Contest I held last year worked out really well and I plan to do something like that again this year, but the date is yet to be determined. I'll be sure to let you guys know around the time that it'll be getting started. I'll most likely bring it up a few times in videos a week before I announce the rules and timelines for the competition, in order to inform everyone as best as possible. That way everyone can start approximately around the same time and have plenty of time to get a project submitted. I'm thinking forty-five days total, but it's still yet to be determined.
After the move to New York I'm not sure if I'll keep making VLOG style videos, it's more of a thing I'll have to wait and see if people care enough to want to see them. If they get some kind of feedback or interaction with you guys then I'll keep doing them in addition to the regular First Impression videos after the move. If not, then I'll just return to the First Impression type videos without any new VLOG content. Basically these VLOG will be here for the next couple weeks or so, then they may keep going in addition to other content, or the VLOGs could just end as the move across the country comes to a close.
