Demonstration of a Max/MSP patch using a limited set of Japanese-style syllables used as the source for a vocoded signal, triggered via MIDI by an electric drumkit. Groups of syllables are associated with each drum -- so, for example, closed hi-hat triggers any syllable starting with "t". Pitch is controlled by velocity.
