Voice Acting Master Class with Andy Field & Chuck Hüber
Next class starts early June! Contact Andy at andyfieldvoiceover@gmail.com for details
VO Master Class: Basics is 16 lessons, taught weekly.
So you want to be a voice actor. Well, let's talk. I'm Andy Field. I used to be a teacher; now
I'm a full-time voice actor.
I'm best known for my work in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise of video games and my character "HandUnit's" catchphrase,
"Exotic Butters". But I'm a full time voice actor
and so I do a lot of other stuff besides that. Now I'm good friends with the anime voice actor Chuck Hüber, and
Chuck asked me to teach a beginner voice-over class to sort of complement his
Master class. Now, this class is for people who are just curious about getting started, AND it's for people who are already started
but aren't quite where they want to be yet.
And I've had
everything in this class so far, from kids who were just curious, all the way up to working adult voice
talent who were signed with major talent agencies in New York City. So here's lesson number one,
absolutely free of charge:
Get coaching!
You're not good enough. We're never good enough as actors. Even Tiger Woods has a coach, so why wouldn't you? Now,
assuming you're getting some acting coaching, then what? All the talent in the world and all the coaching in the world isn't gonna
make you any money as a voice actor or book you any jobs.
That's where this class comes in! So ba ba da da!. Andy and Chuck's VO master Class: BASICS.
So it's 16 lessons. I teach it via Zoom which is kind of like Skype and
here are some of the things that we'll talk about: You'll get frequent visits from Chuck Hüber who will talk about his thoughts on acting.
We'll read some scripts in class on numerous occasions, and have your classmates give you feedback, and have me give you feedback.
We'll talk about voiceover training and techniques. We'll talk about the genres of voiceover. You'd be surprised
how many places there are that will pay you to use your voice.
We'll talk about the expectations you should have from a career in voice acting.
What's the initial gear you should buy and how do you set up your recording space? Demo reels. Finding work. Getting an agent.
Marketing. Joining the Union. Advanced marketing. Advanced gear and recording spaces. How to run a voiceover business.
Auditioning. And, I love to bring in guest speakers! As a full time voice actor,
I've got a ton of friends in the voice-over
community and so anytime I meet one that I think would be beneficial for you to listen to,
I'll bring in a voice actor or an agent or a casting director, or a sound engineer. Again, anybody
I can think of that would benefit you.
So if this sounds like something you're interested in and you'd like more information or you want to know the cost just email me at
