Around 4 pm on day one of Gamescom David Braben makes his first Elite Dangerous Gamescom broadcast which I am attempting to VR video here ... however the absolutely stunning and most memorable part of this Augmented Memory for me is being able to shake his hand and then when he tries my Google Glass and I show him how to take my photo using it. Okay stunned ....and I didn't even get to talk re the use of AR HMDs whilst playing games like Elite Dangerous ...or how I'd been playing the Xbox One version in Oculus VR ... note to self always carry original Elite and Wing Commander Kilrathi Saga in case of future signage ops...
Seriously the broadcast here is being sent via Twitch .. now imagine the jump to broadcasting and streaming it in VR.. a small step ... a little bit of disruption and we can sit in the chair next to David... and so can he... a good day this first one! Thanks to all at Frontier for allowing my disruption(s) of their stand over the 5 days of Gamescom
Oh and Sergey check the reaction of a more enlightened audience to Google Glass , super models and celbrity chefs have their uses but AR promotion is probably not the optimal one....
