After over a year of not playing VRChat, I returned to it and saw a map with over 200 people playing it, so I went to see what it was about.
It's just another PT clone, which turns into several clown mazes as we play a helpless idiot who brings barely anything with him and stops having commentary around the PT part because that's tradition, I guess. People just hate agency in horror games.
I cut out when I got lost. I also lowered the volume on some parts; this map is unnecessarily loud. I understand that loud = scary to many people for some reason, but all it means to me is an earache.
It has all the standard things Zoomers are scared of (loud noises, old technology, laughter, hallways, clowns, and so on). At this point, these so-called scares seem to be a comfort to them, as getting "jumpscared" (read: startled) is actually a relief to a lot of them since that means the "scary" part is over.
