Vs. Arcade Star Dahlia
Okay, first off I want to note is that I did this battle originally in my cartridge copy of Pokemon Heart Gold, which is of course the Japanese import. It is a different file than the Heart Gold I used for the videos I did earlier, where that file somehow got corrupted and I've been too lazy to get that up to snuff.
Also, this isn't the first time I fought Dahlia; it is the second. The first time I did long ago with this Platinum file and saved it, but never recorded it. I was going to do a double feature of the same battle in different situations with different teams. The first battle would've been a "Good Luck" situation where Dahlia's Pokemon were all paralyzed and I breezed through her without taking a single hit. The team there was with Rina the Lucario, Claire the Dragonite, and some random Latias I found. But it seems since the New Year, video files previously saved were deleted off the Nintendo network, probably to make room. I have that video on my Heart Gold cartridge copy, but I don't know how to get it onto my computer without deleting the save file... but I'll try to find something out.
Anyway, about this battle; I felt like having a challenge, so I purposely made all my Pokemon become burned. It was a way to train myself mentally to see how well I can act under situations where I'm put under pressure. I've been trying different things in my training from how quickly I can EV train them, to new Pokemon, to experimenting with new hold items.
I'm slowly improving and I was pretty good before. But it isn't over yet, I've still got a long ways to go. Oh, and don't mind the audio swap. As you can tell from the start, sound recording was just fine. I just felt like switching things up for fun. Sound familiar?
Last note... the final Frontier Brain I need to fight for the Silver Print is Factory Head Thorton. I've only got to the guy twice and both times I never got to lay a finger on him. I mean, seriously; not even 1 HP of damage. And both times I got to him, I had what I thought was a great team because the Pokemon I had weren't beat at all by the other trains. Talk about a let down... anyway, I have a stubborn rule to myself that I won't go for the Color Prints until I got all the Silver Prints. A dumb rule, but Thorton is the only one standing in my way. How long will it be before I beat him...?
