The startup to the first generation of V.Tech V.Smile.

The V. Smile was released by VTech in 2004 during the 6th gaming generation in the United States. It was an educational console possibly made to compete with the Leapfrog Leapster, which was also an education system. The target audience for this system was elementary-grade children, unlike the other 6th generation consoles at the time (GameCube, PS2, Xbox), which attracted those of an older age.
