Vulthoom is a project by Lord Bill (Billy Liebermann), who is also responsible for projects: Arcanist, Drelnoch, Northern Myth, Thallid (for these you may want to check on this channel's Raw BM playlist), Blood Tower, Satanic Abortion and several others.
He gets assistance on drums by Jonathan Cobb on this one.
For those who don't already know: 'Vulthoom' is the title of a short story by Clark Ashton Smith, which deals with the monster character of the same name. Being one of the Elder Ones, Vulthoom is also part of the greater Lovecraftian Cthulhu Mythos. He/she/it usually dwells in the Martian underground city of Ravermos and is regarded by the Martian indigenous Aihai people as their equivalent to Satan. Also, Vulthoom is said to plan conquering Earth, but fortunately for Humans, it/she/he has to rest for millennia at a time. - Still, this is some serious stuff.
Phenotypically, Vulthoom is said to be a giant plant like creature of exquisite beauty and symmetry. But since this has been envisioned under the influence of a hallucinogenic perfume just once, it appears to be debatable. The real form is actually unknown.
