Koloktos Boss Fight

Phase 1

make sure you have your whip out, because you'll need it. When Koloktos pounds one of its arms, dodge it and use your whip to pull it off. The arms covering its core will eventually try attacking you. That's your chance to pull off the 2 arms. Now that the core's exposed, attack it with your sword before Koloktos recovers. Rinse and repeat until it has had enough.

Phase 2

Koloktos will be equipped with cleavers and will try attacking you. It's core will have a grating over it this time around. The first thing to do is pull off one of its arms and pick up the blade it dropped. You can cut off the rest of its arms and legs to immobilize it. You can cut away at the grating and at the core. The arms and grating will regenerate and you'll have to rinse and repeat. Eventually, you'll floor the 8 armed machine and be rewarded with a heart container and the Flame is in the next room.
