OK, OK, so it isn't the final boss like in the original classic NES version, but if you played the original version, and the SNS classic, Super Metroid, the strategy is the same. There're only 2 platforms over a lava pool with small lasers and round projectiles shooting at you from every which way, making this "final boss" fight more difficult. Mother Brain sits there, encased in a glass jar. Here's what to do.
Phase 1
Whilst avoiding the lasers and round projectiles use either Missiles or Super Missiles to destroy the glass. As you shoot it, cracks will form. shoot it enough and you'll eventually break it.
Phase 2
Once the glass jar is broken, Mother Brain will stare at you and shoot a beam out of her eye. (Seriously, what is with Nintendo and one eyed abominations?) Her eye is her weak spot, so shoot a missile or Super Missile at her eye whilst avoiding her attacks. Shoot the eye enough and she'll eventuallykeel over. After Mother Brain is dead, the Self Destruct Sequence will start. You'll have 3 minutes to escape. Normally, making it to the elevator would end the game. Not so in this remake. You still need to make your way to your ship. Ehen you make it, Samus will take off her Power suit and fly away from Zebes as parts of it explode. The game's not over yet though. A fleet of Zebesian Space Pirates will come after you and shoot you down.You'll wind up crash landing in Chozodia, in essentially just your underwear, with just a Stun Pistol. Now you have to find the Gravity suit whilst avoiding Space Pirates.
